From August 10th to 19th, 2007, the Royal Mayfair Golf Club hosted the CN Canadian Women's Open, an LPGA Tour event. Over 65,000 spectators witnessed the best field of women golfers ever to compete for this trophy. The Royal Canadian Golf Association's Chief Operating Officer, Richard Des Roche, commented after the event that it was the most successful Women's Canadian Open in the history of the event. Lorena Ochowa from Mexico proved to be the winner, with Paula Creamer her closest competition on the final round.
